Enforcement of Data Protection / Privacy Laws and its Impact on Businesses
(Privacy Group)

The Privacy Group invites you to a workshop that will examine the latest developments in administrative and private enforcement action in Europe as well as a review of a range of issues that are particularly relevant to the running of businesses. We will assess the business risks involved and demonstrate the ways in which the EC laws affect both European and third country based operations.

Roundtable discussion on Market Access Solutions and Strategies
(International Trade Group)

This informal discussion will be organised by our EU and International Trade Group and will include the participation of officials from the European Commission Market Access Unit as well as representatives from the United States government. Two themes will be discussed:

  • How can the EU improve its Market Access Strategy and offer EU industry and enterprises greater support in improving their competitive performance for goods and services in the markets of our trading partners?

  • What improvements can be made to the tools that are already available to EU industry and enterprises including the Trade Barrier Regulation and the European Commission's Market Access Database?
