Celebrating Ten Years in San Francisco - 10th Anniversary featured in The Recorder

On December 2, 2019, the 10th anniversary of the firm’s San Francisco office was featured in The Recorder. Launched after the firm acquired litigation boutique Folger Levin & Kahn in 2009, the 32-lawyer office has built “a reputation for taking on high-profile lawsuits against large institutions and has earned a place in the competitive Bay Area legal community,” the article noted.

Over the years, the San Francisco office has  scored a number of client victories in California’s courts, oftentimes going up against bigger players in the California litigation market. A recent example is  J.Daniel Sharp’s victory on behalf of The Regents of the University of California, obtaining a $50 million settlement and public apology from the University of Southern California for the tactics it allegedly used to poach an Alzheimer’s researcher from USC’s San Diego campus. The California lawyers “have been terrific at doing what has been a hallmark of our firm, and that is maintaining deep institutional relationships with clients who come to view them as their go-to people, especially in the area of litigation,” said firm chair Phil Inglima.
