Grégoire Ryelandt is a counsel in the firm's Brussels office. He focuses on European (EU) and Belgian and Dutch competition law, on distribution law, and on EU regulatory matters and international trade. With over 10 years of experience, Grégoire is a trusted advisor to global, European, and national corporations across a wide range of sectors, including automotive and trucking, retail, feed and food, media, energy, and luxury and consumer products.

Grégoire's experience includes day-to-day counseling on cartel behaviors, dominance issues, distribution issues, parallel trade, registration of goods, import and export strategies, and the activities of trade associations. Grégoire has represented clients before the European Commission, the Belgian Competition Authority, and the Dutch Competition Authority in cartel and dominance investigations, provided strategic and legal counseling on complex antitrust matters, advised clients on the trade of dual-use, chemical and other products, defended clients before the Belgian courts in distribution matters, assisted multinational companies in registering goods for trade in the European Union, dealt with national customs authorities for the import of goods under preferential treatments or for the export of strategic goods, assisted clients for the delivery of Binding Tariff or Origin Information, handled mergers including remedies at the EU and national level, developed and implemented antitrust compliance and training programs, etc.

Grégoire is the president of the Antitrust Commission of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) and a member of the editorial board of the Belgian Competition Review for which he organizes the annual conference on the developments in Belgian competition law. He frequently writes and speaks on competition and regulatory issues in national and international forums

Grégoire graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve and obtained his master's in advanced European studies (MA), cum laude, at the Institut d'Etudes Européennes (ULB – Brussels).

Grégoire is recommended in Chambers Europe where he is praised "for his responsiveness and proactive approach" and "for his consistency and in-depth knowledge of competition law." He is also recommended in Legal 500.
