Tarek F.M. Saad provides clients value in assessing, managing, and resolving complex, high-value commercial disputes primarily involving international parties and issues. Tarek also serves as an appointed arbitrator.
Tarek uses his substantial experience with a wide variety of conflict resolution methods to advise clients across a broad range of industries, acting for clients in early-stage negotiations and resolutions, proceedings involving emergency injunctive relief, mediations, arbitrations (ICC International Court Arbitration and otherwise), motions hearings, agency and administrative proceedings, and trials with arbitral tribunals as well as in U.S. state and federal courts before judges and juries and on appeals, including oral arguments.
In addition to his primary focus on resolving his clients’ international disputes, Tarek frequently counsels clients in a variety of commercial contexts, including business torts and transactions, contract disputes, intellectual property, trade secrets, non-solicits/noncompetes, employment law, consumer protection statutes, and securities laws.

Representative Matters
- Acting as sole arbitrator in ICC arbitration seated in Qatar under expedited procedure rules involving UAE claimant and Qatari respondents.
- Winning summary judgment on construction claims in U.S. federal court related to Al-Udeid U.S. Air Base in Qatar and successfully upholding the judgment in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
- Winning a lengthy, hotly contested, complex securities fraud case for a Middle East investor after a trial in the United States that resulted in a $1 million settlement from the aiders and abettors and a judgment in excess of $23 million against the primary fraudster.
- Representing a Qatari company in prosecuting and defending claims in ICC arbitration seated in Qatar, which included a one-week hearing in Doha, against a multinational corporation involving oil and gas construction work.
- Representing a large Qatari bank in U.S. court proceedings and obtaining dismissal of all claims.
- Representing a large Qatari company in Arab Investment Court proceedings.
