Overview

Seif Al Daajeh is an associate in the Doha office who has over seven years’ of experience in Qatar. Seif has advised multinational companies on the legalities of entering the Qatari market and has assisted with the incorporation process and obtaining all the required licenses from the relevant authorities in the State of Qatar. His experience also covers assisting local and international businesses to ensure their operations are compliant with relevant Qatari laws.

Seif has extensive knowledge of Qatari laws and relevant local ministry practices that enable him to effectively advise clients and amicably solve numerous complex matters to achieve client satisfaction. Seif also has experience in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements on behalf of clients, including shareholders agreements, supply agreements, commercial agency agreements, and distribution agreements. Seif also maintains knowledge of the shipping and maritime sector, having assisted and advised operators and ship owners in several sectors on the risks and regulations relevant to the operation of ships.

Additionally, Seif is familiar with local courts litigation procedures. Before joining the firm, Seif worked in a major law firm, where he interacted with many large international law firms. Seif is fluent in Arabic and English.

  • Advising clients from various sectors, including banks, insurance companies, and commercial companies, in relation to banking law, labor law, investment law, commercial law, data privacy law, companies’ law, and civil law.
  • Handling different types of company’s formation.
  • Preparing and drafting several corporate documents, including memorandums, articles of association, and Ministry applications etc.
  • Preparing legal due diligence reports.
  • Drafting, preparing, reviewing, and negotiating various types of agreements across a wide range of commercial transactions, which include without limitation, shareholders agreements, commercial agency agreements, franchise agreements, and joint-venture agreements.
  • Handling civil and commercial disputes, preparing statements of claim, statements of defense, memorandums and court submissions, and reports to clients in relation to case developments.
  • Advising local bank on various day-to-day transactions to ensure compliance with Qatari laws.
  • Advising foreign bank registered under the Qatar Financial Centre on the Qatari laws.
  • Advising local financial institutions (insurance companies) on Qatar Central Bank compliance.
  • Advising local holding companies on various commercial transactions.
  • Advising a Qatari listed company on acquisition transaction of 51% of European company listed in the Paris Euronext.
  • Advising a subsidiary of a Qatari listed company in relation to investing $40 Million USD by way of acquiring the entire share capital of two German companies.
  • Advising a foreign bank on an aircraft finance transaction.
  • Advising a Qatari listed company on several governance maters and management control.
