Sarvesh Mahajan is a member of the firm’s corporate practice group, based in the New York office. Sarvesh focuses his practice on helping clients negotiate and implement technology and other commercial agreements. He has significant experience across all stages of IT and business process outsourcing and transformation, allowing him to help clients structure or respond to RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage and implement complex, global outsourcing and business transformation arrangements.

Sarvesh has been recognized as a leading lawyer nationally for Outsourcing in Chambers USA, which notes, “Clients recommend Sarvesh Mahajan as ‘a very good counselor and adviser,’ offering praise for his ‘creative and open-minded’ approach.” He has also been recommended in the Legal 500 U.S.

Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Sarvesh was partner at the law firm of Wiggin and Dana LLP. Previously, he served as counsel for a multinational information technology services company and a large public university providing higher education programs online. In these roles, he advised senior managers on commercial and intellectual property issues. Sarvesh was also an attorney-advisor in the U.S. Department of Commerce.

At his previous firm, Sarvesh served as the Diversity Manager. In that role, he worked with the firm’s Executive Committee and Diversity Committee to support initiatives that promoted diversity and inclusion in firm operations, governance, and client service.

Sarvesh is fluent in Hindi and is a member of the South Asian Bar Association.

Representative Transactions

  • Represented a global service provider in a multi-party arrangement to migrate a food processing company’s existing data centers, then managed by a third-party, to the AWS cloud and then provide infrastructure services.
  • Represented a top-tier service provider in a combined IT and business process outsourcing transaction to manage finance and reinsurance, insurance back office, and IT infrastructure and application maintenance for a specialty insurance company with onsite and offshore service delivery.
  • Represented a top-tier service provider in a business process outsourcing transaction to manage the global finance and accounting functions for a leading athletic footwear and apparel company with service delivery from India, China, and Eastern Europe.
  • Represented a top-tier service provider in a business process outsourcing transaction to implement robotics process automation and manage the global finance and accounting functions for a leading cosmetics and beauty products company.
  • Represented a global IT service provider in an infrastructure outsourcing agreement with a pharmaceutical company, with significant rebadging of employees in Europe and the United States.
