Ryan Merker


Ryan Merker is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s San Francisco office in the firm's Litigation Group. His nationwide practice focuses on a variety of complex litigation matters, including ERISA, antitrust, intellectual property, and class action litigation, in state and federal courts.

Ryan maintains a robust pro bono practice by representing individuals seeking asylum or other relief in domestic matters. He is also actively involved with the community through a variety of community projects and organizations. Currently, Ryan serves as a director of United World Initiative—an organization that aims at empowering high school and college students to become agents of positive social change in their communities.

Ryan graduated first in his class at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where he was a legal research assistant and a student attorney in Mitchell Hamline Intellectual Property Clinic. Ryan also clerked for the Honorable Wilhelmina M. Wright of the U.S. District Court in St. Paul, Minnesota, prior to joining Crowell & Moring.
