Perri Melnick is a counsel in Crowell & Moring’s Los Angeles office, where she practices in the Health Care Group. Perri’s practice is focused on advising medical groups, health care providers, and other health care organizations on a broad range of health care-related business, transactional, general corporate, and regulatory matters. Her experience on behalf of health care clients includes structuring, negotiating, and drafting merger and acquisition agreements, professional services agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, medical directorship agreements, and policies and procedures, as well as advising clients on fraud and abuse compliance issues and day-to-day business and operational issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Perri was the group general counsel for DaVita HealthCare Partners, where she was responsible for overseeing all west coast operations. Before joining DaVita, Perri spent six years as the vice president of Legal Affairs for IPC HealthCare (formerly IPC The Hospitalist Company), where she oversaw all legal functions of the company, including negotiating and closing more than 90 physician practice acquisitions.
Perri received her B.A. degree in communications, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she was also the student commencement speaker of her graduating class. She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2003 attending in the evening while working full time as a health and welfare benefit consultant.
