Marsena Farris is a counsel in the New York office and a member of Crowell & Moring’s Health Care Group. Her practice focuses on the representation of nonprofit entities such as foundations, religious organizations, and health care providers licensed as home health agencies, hospices, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, nursing homes and managed care organizations.
Marsena represents clients in all types of complex transactional and regulatory matters, and has experience in managed care contracting, compliance, and health care fraud and abuse issues. She assists clients with adherence to city, state, and federal labor and employment laws, executive employment agreements, non-competes, severance agreements, the defense of employee discrimination and harassment claims, and issues involving a unionized workforce. She also counsels clients on matters of nonprofit corporate governance and best practices.
Marsena received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, where she was an Editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law (formerly the Michigan Yearbook of International Legal Studies). She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from the George Washington University.
