Madeline M. Moore


Madeline M. Moore is a counsel in Crowell & Moring’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Health Care Group. An experienced litigator and trial attorney, Madeline represents clients in complex commercial matters in federal, state, and arbitral forums. She is also experienced in defending government investigations. Madeline’s clients include managed care companies, health benefit plans, health care providers, and government contractors.

Before joining Crowell & Moring, Madeline defended major New York City hospitals and individual health care providers against claims of medical malpractice and general liability. She successfully submitted and argued summary judgment motions including in high exposure cases of alleged wrongful death.

Following law school, Madeline served indigent members of the Bronx as a trial attorney doing public criminal defense work. Madeline won full acquittals in all of her trials.

  • Defending a leading health plan against a New York medical group in a multimillion-dollar case regarding payment of surgical claims. 
  • Defending a Fortune 50 health insurance company against a major New York City hospital system regarding payment of claims.
