Luke Bresnahan is a counsel in the firm’s Mass Tort, Product, and Consumer Litigation Group. He focuses his practice on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, as well as products liability matters in the automotive space.
Luke brings significant litigation and case management experience to his work. He has second-chaired two jury trials and appeared before federal and state court judges for hearings and pre-trial conferences.
Prior to joining the firm, Luke clerked for the Honorable Robert G. Doumar in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Before his clerkship, Luke maintained a varied practice at a leading Virginia-based business law firm. In this role, he represented clients in complex business disputes, white collar litigation and regulatory enforcement, and consumer financial services litigation. In 2019, Luke was named as one of Virginia Business’ Legal Elite in the Young Lawyers category.
Luke has an active pro bono practice, having represented a prisoner in a federal civil rights bench trial and participated in the Office of the Federal Public Defender’s Pro Bono Counsel Program.
Luke attended the University of Richmond Law School, where he graduated Order of the Coif and served as a senior staff member of the University of Richmond Law Review. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia.
