Lauren H. Williams is an associate in the Government Contracts and Corporate groups in Crowell & Moring’s Washington, D.C. office.

Lauren’s government contracts practice focuses on government contracts counseling, litigation, and transactional work, including bid protests before the Government Accountability Office, due diligence in the transactional context, and client counseling on regulatory and compliance matters.

Lauren’s corporate practice focuses on mergers and asset acquisitions, commercial financings, and governance issues of private companies.

Lauren is also active in pro bono matters. Currently, she represents an organization focused on disability rights with pursuing a lawsuit against several state entities, representing a tenant in landlord-tenant court, and assisting an organization with a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. Lauren is also an active participant in Crowell & Moring's tutoring partnership with the Thurgood Marshall Academy, a D.C. public charter school and the first law-themed school in D.C.

Lauren earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, cum laude, in 2017, where she was awarded the Roger Howell Achievement Award for exemplary leadership, scholarship, and character. During law school, she was an articles editor for the Maryland Law Review, a member and Fall Competition Chair of the Moot Court Board, and Chair of the Honor Board. As a student in the Expungement Clinic, she represented clients in expunging their criminal records and testified before the Maryland House of Delegates regarding expungement legislation.

Prior to law school, Lauren worked as a patent legal secretary in Washington, D.C. She received her B.A. in government and politics, and B.S. in business from the University of Maryland, College Park.
