Joseph D. Evans is a retired partner of Crowell & Moring and was resident in the Washington, D.C. office. He received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry, cum laude, from Utah State University in 1970 and a juris doctor degree (with honors) from George Washington University Law School in 1974. J.D. engaged in the practice of all aspects of intellectual property law, with particular emphasis on the chemical and mechanical arts, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, design patents and trademarks. From 1985 to 1994, he was an instructor for the PRI Advanced Patent Preparation and Prosecution seminars. He was a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and of the VPP (Verein Patentanwälte & Patentassoren).
