Joelle Sires is an associate in Crowell & Moring's Los Angeles office and a member of the firm's Government Contracts Group. Joelle focuses her practice on all aspects of government procurement law and corporate counseling, with an emphasis on intellectual property, internal investigations and compliance, and technology transactions. Other areas of focus include government contracts due diligence, counseling on government affairs, and international contracting. She has negotiated and drafted contracts for clients in rapidly evolving technological environments, reviewed contractors' internal operations and controls to improve compliance with federal laws and regulations, drafted certified claims under the Contract Disputes Act, handled matters arising under the False Claims Act, and advised clients on new developments in federal cybersecurity and intellectual property regulations.

In addition, Joelle has broad experience in corporate matters, including corporate counseling on issues related to company formation, corporate compliance, licensing, and related contract and intellectual property issues in the digital media, technology, and consumer products sectors.

Her clients represent a range of technologies and industries, including computer software and hardware, aerospace, defense, rocket/launch technologies and services, satellite and cable communications, healthcare providers, Internet-based services, and operators of DOE laboratories and federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs).

While in law school, Joelle was the managing editor of the International and Comparative Law Review, an award-winning member of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board, and a judicial extern for California Court of Appeal Justice Fred Woods.
