Representative Matters

  • Represents a nation-wide behavioral health benefits administrator in a three-week bench trial in which a consumer class alleged that the administrator’s guidelines were inconsistent with one term in tens of thousands of ERISA health insurance plans.
  • Represents the former managing member of a venture capital firm in a dispute about the terms of the LLC Agreement.
  • Represented the Regents of the University of California in a patent infringement action alleging that multiple medical device manufacturers induce cardiac electrophysiologists to use their devices to perform a method that is covered by several patents and is now the industry-standard procedure for treating atrial fibrillation.
  • Represented an insurance company in a bankruptcy proceeding to enforce prior settlement agreements against claims by the corporate successor to the debtor’s former subsidiary. Obtained a favorable settlement on the eve of the bankruptcy confirmation hearing.
