Frances Caudron is an associate at Crowell & Moring’s Brussels office and is a member of the Intellectual Property and Privacy & Cybersecurity groups. She advises and assists clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters related to IP, ICT, and data protection law (GDPR). Frances is particularly passionate about her work in the fashion, art, entertainment, music, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Frances obtained a specialized LL.M. degree in intellectual property, media, and ICT law, cum laude, at the K.U. Leuven in 2017. In the course thereof, she wrote a dissertation on the copyrightability of tattoos, for which she received a magna cum laude recognition. In 2016, Frances earned her master’s degree in law at the K.U. Leuven where she focused on economic law. Driven by her profound interest in the creative industries, she wrote another master’s dissertation on all legal aspects surrounding street art.

Frances is a native Dutch speaker and is fluent in English and French. 

Frances became a member of the Brussels bar in 2018.
