Eric A. Stahl is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s Washington, D.C. office, practicing in the Antitrust and Product Liability & Torts groups.
Eric’s practice spans counseling and complex litigation for clients in the telecommunications, transportation, and consumer products industries. Recent experience includes:
- Counseling a major automaker on local laws and regulations affecting a new venture.
- Preparing defense motions on behalf of a synthetic medical device company.
- Assisting in the successful appellate defense of a major consumer products manufacturer against unfair trade practice claims.
- Representing AT&T in its proposed acquisition of Time Warner, Inc.
Eric’s pro bono practice includes indigent criminal defense and complex appellate litigation under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
Before attending law school, Eric founded his own campaign consulting firm. He managed small teams of political professionals and provided political guidance to numerous clients, focusing on campaign finance, fundraising, and compliance.
During law school, Eric interned with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he represented the Commonwealth prosecuting misdemeanors in Municipal Court. Eric served as the online managing editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and membership chair for the American Constitution Society. He won the 2015 Philadelphia Public Policy Case Competition and the 2014 Regulatory Essay Competition.
