Da'Net Sturdifen is a discovery attorney in the Electronic Discovery & Information Management Practice in Crowell & Moring’s Washington, D.C. office.

Da'Net focuses her practice on discovery solutions for complex health care and antitrust matters. Her experience ranges from the preservation and collection of electronically stored information to cost-efficient ways to manage large-scale document reviews using technology-assisted review. She represented eight health care insurance companies, managing a document review for over 200+ review attorneys, in one of the largest health care antitrust class actions in the country. She serves as a liaison between the case team and database vendors to provide cost-effective solutions for clients.

Da'Net has over ten years of experience providing discovery solutions to clients. Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Da'Net was an e-discovery specialist for LeClairRyan, where she focused on mass tort litigation for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies. She was responsible for preparing discovery responses for a multidistrict pharmaceutical products liability matter, along with managing the corresponding production of documents. She also implemented and managed the litigation retention process for a Fortune 500 automotive dealer. Leveraging her e-discovery experience, Da'Net taught the e-discovery process to students as an adjunct e-discovery teacher in Georgetown’s Continuing Studies Program. In addition to her e-discovery experience, Da'Net also provided legal counsel on financial services and securities laws to the Department of Justice.

Additionally, Da'Net maintains an active pro bono practice assisting victims of domestic violence and parents in child custody matters. Most notably, she helped reunite a child kidnapped and taken to Gambia with his mother and family in the United States.

Da'Net received her J.D. from Howard University School of Law.  She received her B.S. in Sociology of Criminology and Deviance from James Madison University, where she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
