Charlotte Stynen


Charlotte Stynen is an associate at Crowell & Moring’s Brussels office. She focuses on commercial and corporate law, including the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts; private M&A deals; assistance in the setting up, operating, and restructuring of businesses; and on litigation in all these areas. Charlotte has worked both for SMEs and multinational enterprises in a variety of sectors, such as transport, real estate, banking, and technology.

Charlotte is a member of the Brussels (Dutch-speaking) Bar. She started her professional career as a lawyer in 2013. Between 2016 and 2019, she worked for a leading international consultancy firm. In this role, she assisted clients with a broad range of corporate transactions and reorganizations (mergers, demergers, capital reductions and increases, liquidations, etc.).

Charlotte obtained her master’s degree in law, cum laude, at the Dutch-speaking Free University of Brussels (VUB) in 2013, and obtained a complementary postgraduate degree, magna cum laude, on corporate finance at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in 2016. Charlotte won the ELSA National Moot Court Competition in 2013.

A native Dutch speaker, Charlotte obtained her bachelor’s degree in law at the University of Namur, in French. She is fluent in Dutch, French, and English and has a limited knowledge of Portuguese.
