Britton D. Davis is an associate in Crowell & Moring's Washington, D.C. office, where he practices in the Antitrust Group. Britton's antitrust practice includes counseling and representation of clients in both litigation and transactions related to a variety of competition issues associated with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and compliance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. He has also advised clients in connection with civil non-merger investigations. 

Recent antitrust matters include:

  • Representation of AT&T in its proposed acquisition of DIRECTV.
  • Representation of AT&T in its acquisition of Leap Wireless. 
  • Representation of AT&T in its proposed acquisition of T-Mobile USA.
  • Representation of AT&T in its divestiture of a majority stake in Yellow Pages to Cerberus Capital Management.
  • Representation of AT&T in various purchases of wireless spectrum.
  • Representation of United Technologies in its acquisition of Goodrich Corp.
  • Representation of United Technologies in its sale of Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne to GenCorp.
  • Representation of Flowers Foods, Inc. in its acquisition of Hostess bread brands and assets.
  • Representation of Coventry Health Care, Inc. in its acquisition by Aetna Inc.
  • Representation of Veolia Environnement SA in its sale of Veolia ES Solid Waste Inc. to Star Atlantic Waste Holdings LP.
  • Representation of a Class I freight railroad in multi-district class action litigation alleging a price-fixing conspiracy related to fuel surcharges.
  • Representation of a health insurer in DOJ investigation of alleged anticompetitive practices.

Britton also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in asylum matters before United States Citizenship & Immigration Services.

Britton received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School in 2011. While at Boston College, he served as the executive note editor of the Boston College International & Comparative Law Review. Britton also served as co-chair for both the Lambda Law and Coalition for Equality student groups. During law school, Britton was a summer intern for the Honorable Elizabeth Fahey of the Massachusetts Superior Court. Britton graduated from the University of Virginia in 1999, earning his B.A. in foreign affairs with a concentration in Chinese foreign policy and is co-chair of the Serpentine Society alumni organization for the university.

Previously, Britton worked in revenue management for Marriott International.
