Anu Prasad is an associate in the Insurance/Reinsurance Group at Crowell & Moring's New York office.
Anu's practice is focused on complex insurance coverage litigation and reinsurance disputes before state and federal courts, as well as before arbitration tribunals. Anu has represented clients in matters involving facultative and treaty reinsurance, comprehensive general liability, excess and umbrella liability, asbestos and environmental contamination, products liability, and property damage. Anu counsels clients on a variety of substantive and procedural issues, including right to associate, allocation, late notice, number of occurrences, and various other contract provisions.
Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Anu was an associate at the New Jersey office of an international law firm, where she counseled domestic and international insurance companies in a broad array of coverage disputes, including Bermuda form excess liability claims. She also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Ann R. Bartlett, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Warren County.
Anu graduated from Tulane University Law School in 2011. During law school, she served as managing editor of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal. She also worked as a student attorney in the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic and earned the Environmental Law Certificate from Tulane. Anu received her B.A. in international studies and Spanish from Johns Hopkins University in 2008, where she was an Aitchison Public Service Fellow.
