Amanda Lineberry is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Litigation and Mass Tort, Product, and Consumer Litigation groups.

Amanda is a versatile litigator. She defends health care companies, educational institutions, and consumer products companies in complex and multijurisdictional litigation, both in federal and state courts. She also helps bring claims on behalf of health care companies and victims of terrorism in various recovery matters. Her pro bono practice focuses on appellate and civil rights litigation, including drafting amicus briefs for the U.S. Supreme Court. On the counseling side, Amanda maintains a robust practice focused on regulatory compliance for health care and consumer products companies.

Amanda received her J.D. in 2019 from the University of Virginia School of Law. She served as an editorial board member of the Virginia Law Review, which has published her scholarship twice. She was also a semifinalist and President of the William Minor Lile Moot Court competition. As a member of the school’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, Amanda argued successfully before the Fourth Circuit in Mangum v. Hallembaek II, helping to secure concurrent state and federal prison sentences for her client. The University awarded her both the Ritter Prize for honor, character, and integrity, and the Hyde Award, the highest honor conferred to a student at graduation.

Prior to attending law school, Amanda worked with the University of Richmond faculty through the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement while simultaneously earning a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Studies. She graduated with honors from the University of Richmond in 2014 with a B.A. in political science and American studies.
