Allegra K. Flamm is an associate in the Government Contracts and International Trade groups in Crowell & Moring’s Washington, D.C. office.

Allegra’s government contracts practice includes representing clients in False Claims Act investigations and litigation and advising clients on regulatory requirements. Her international trade practice focuses on counseling clients on sanctions compliance and advising on export controls and Anti-Money Laundering/Bank Secrecy Act regulations.

Allegra is also active in pro bono matters. Currently, she represents individuals seeking asylum in the U.S. before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Allegra also represents a defendant in a criminal theft case in Montgomery County Circuit Court.

Allegra received her J.D. cum laude from Duke University School of Law, where she served as an executive editor on the Law and Contemporary Problems Journal, a writing tutor for the Legal Writing department, and president of the Women Law Students Association. She was also a member of the Moot Court Board. While in law school, Allegra externed in the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Prior to law school, Allegra worked as a 5th-grade teacher in Colorado Springs, Colorado through Teach For America. She received her B.A. in anthropology and public health from Washington University in St. Louis.
