Alexis White's diverse scientific research background and legal experience allows her to serve and further the intellectual property interests of her clients.
Alexis works on patent prosecution and litigation matters in various technology areas. Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Alexis was an associate at Brinks Gilson & Lione. Before going into law, she worked as an undergraduate research assistant, studying the effects of ACE inhibitors on herpes-infected serotonin cell viability and other neurological disorders. During her summers, she researched macular degeneration at Baylor College of Medicine and performed biochemical investigations of maternal effects in microscopic aquatic animals at the Marine Biological Laboratory.
Alexis is a recipient of the Sidney B. Williams Intellectual Property Law Scholarship and the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association’s Dean’s Award. She served as the editor-in-chief of the North Carolina Central University Science and Intellectual Property Law Review and as the president of the Intellectual Property Society.
