Whether it is a civil enforcement action, criminal investigation, a cross-border fraud investigation, or regulator interest the ability of a General Counsel and in house attorneys to navigate and manage these inquiries is enterprise critical. White-collar investigations and regulations have evolved vastly over recent years due to expanded government resources and more developed techniques along with increased agency collaboration. Therefore, GCs must continuously evolve and develop strategies to better protect their organizations. This session titled "White Collar Crime: Managing Risk and Navigating Investigations" will examine:
  • The evolution of the Government's tactics and strategies in enforcing and investigating white collar crime
  • A review of common criminal statutes frequently used by the government to prosecute corporate crime
  • What constitutes criminal intent in white collar cases plus, company and managerial liability
  • Strategies for using this knowledge to mitigate risk
Partner Rebecca Ricigliano will moderate this session.
