Crowell & Moring’s Preetha Chakrabarti Named Outstanding Young Lawyer by New York State Bar Association

New York – January 14, 2019: Crowell & Moring’s Preetha Chakrabarti is the recipient of the New York State Bar Association’s (NYSBA) Outstanding Young Lawyer Award. The award recognizes an attorney who has practiced less than 10 years and has a distinguished record of commitment to traditions of the Bar through public service and professional activities.

Chakrabarti, a counsel in the firm’s Intellectual Property and Environment & Natural Resources groups, is recognized for her pro bono work and involvement in legal associations and committees. Her pro bono practice includes cases involving immigration, family, and employment law, and IP counseling for non-profit entities. She is also a member of the firm’s Diversity Council and Public Service Committee, as well as the New York City Bar Association’s Fashion Law and Environmental Law Committees, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Intellectual Property Owners Association.
