Regulatory Challenges Facing Pesticide Devices

Starts: 12:00 PM (EDT)
Ends: 1:00 PM (EDT)

Please join Crowell & Moring for an invitation-only discussion of the regulatory challenges facing manufacturers and distributors of pesticide devices.

EPA has increased its focus on pesticide devices, particularly those that make claims related to microbes like bacteria and viruses. The agency’s increasingly aggressive exercise of authority over devices like air purifiers, water filters, UV lights, and similar products is causing significant disruption in the industry. Pesticide device manufacturers and distributors are facing increased EPA enforcement, particularly at points of importation, and have received confusing and inconsistent direction from EPA regarding permissible claims as well as the limitations for such devices. Our webinar will examine these concerns and explore avenues that manufacturers, importers, and distributors of pesticide devices may pursue to navigate these thorny issues. The webinar will be an opportunity for frank discussion focused specifically on the unique challenges facing device manufacturers, importers, and distributors.

During the webinar we will:

  • Review the regulatory requirements applicable to “pesticide devices”
  • Review EPA’s current understanding of devices that incorporate treated articles
  • Discuss the current enforcement environment facing manufacturers, importers and distributors
  • Suggest approaches to successfully navigate this difficult environment
This program is by invitation only, and is intended for a select group of pesticide device manufacturers, importers, and distributors. Please no private law firms or government employees.
