Crowell & Moring International to Support $7 Million Medical Device Program for COVID-19 Response and Recovery

Washington – September 22, 2020: The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) has selected Crowell & Moring International LLC to partner in the implementation of the COVID-19 project for medical devices regulatory convergence  awarded under the umbrella of the Standards Alliance, a public-private partnership between the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the American National Standards Institute.

The project addresses COVID-19 response and recovery by facilitating medical device standardization and good regulatory practice. With $3 million in USAID funding and nearly $4 million in private sector contributions, the program will operate through 2023 and focus on Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
