The New York Law Journal Names Partner Rebecca Ricigliano a Distinguished Leader

New York – August 15, 2022: The New York Law Journal has recognized Rebecca Monck Ricigliano, co-chair of Crowell & Moring’s White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement Group, as a 2022 “Distinguished Leader.” The award honors lawyers in leadership roles who have achieved impressive results in the past year. All of the winners will be honored at the New York Legal Awards on October 6 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. The full list of this year’s Distinguished Leaders can be viewed here.

Ricigliano’s leadership roles throughout her career have distinguished her in many respects. An accomplished litigator and former federal prosecutor, she became co-chair of the White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement Group at Crowell in 2022, following her tenure as a member of the group’s Steering Committee. Ricigliano also serves as a director on the Board of the Federal Bar Foundation and on the Board of Directors of the National Organization of Italian American Women. Prior to joining Crowell, Ricigliano served nearly ten years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the SDNY, during which time she was a member of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force and held various leadership positions, including Chief of the Narcotics Unit and Senior Trial Counsel in the Public Corruption Unit. She also served as First Assistant Attorney General of New Jersey.

In an interview with the New York Law Journal, Ricigliano notes: “Creating and launching the When There Are Nine Scholarship Project to honor the lifelong work of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is my proudest achievement over the past year. In addition to launching the Project and selecting our first cohort of Scholars, working collaboratively with so many SDNY alumnae to propel it forward and being able to help women in law school was also incredibly fulfilling.”

“Rebecca could not be more deserving of this honor,” said Glen McGorty, managing partner of the New York office and a 2019 Distinguished Leader recipient. “I’ve had the great privilege of knowing Rebecca for almost twenty years since we served together as federal prosecutors in SDNY. Since joining Crowell, Rebecca has been a consummate mentor and sponsor, working tirelessly with junior lawyers looking to forge successful careers. She’s a true partner and leader to all of us lucky to be her colleagues.”

Ricigliano is called on by both individuals and companies to handle sensitive criminal allegations and regulatory investigations, including those with international elements. She assists individuals and corporations facing grand jury and regulatory investigations and related enforcement, including criminal trials. Ricigliano also conducts internal investigations for foreign and domestic clients, including Fortune 500 companies across a broad range of sectors.
