Crowell & Moring’s Shira Liu Appointed to California Lawyers Association’s Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section Executive Committee

Orange County – July 22, 2021: Crowell & Moring counsel Shira Liu has been appointed to the California Lawyers Association’s Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section Executive Committee. In this role, Liu will assist the Section with its mission “to engage, inform, and inspire generations of lawyers to further the practice of antitrust and competition law in California.”

Liu’s practice focuses on representing clients in complex antitrust litigation matters across a wide range of industries, including the technology, health care, and energy industries. She also litigates claims involving standard essential patents and FRAND rates, trade secrets, trademarks, breach of contract, economic torts, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. In addition, Liu has extensive experience in all stages of expert testimony, from selecting experts, discovery, and preparing for trial testimony.

As part of its activities, the Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section “provides cutting-edge perspectives on legal developments in California and federal antitrust and UCL laws, as well as insights into regulatory and enforcement issues, that affect California consumers, businesses, and practitioners.” With approximately 1,200 members, the Section issues multiple publications, including The California Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Treatise, Competition, and Antitrust and UCL E-briefs, News and Notes.
