Crowell & Moring’s David Robbins Launches Book on Procurement Fraud

Washington – October 18, 2019: Crowell & Moring partner and former government procurement fraud enforcement official David Robbins has authored a new book that demystifies the federal government’s process for investigating procurement fraud and bringing enforcement cases. Published by the American Bar Association, The Procurement Fraud Guidebook: The System, Stakeholders and Response Strategies will be unveiled at a CLE-eligible event at 3:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, October 29 at the firm’s Washington office. The book also “explains how government contractors can tell their side of the story, and better respond to procurement fraud investigations,” according to Robbins.

Gail D. Zirkelbach, also a partner and thought leader in the firm’s government contracts practice, will join Robbins to present at the event. In 2018, the ABA published a book edited by Zirkelbach called The Federal False Claims Act and Government Contracts.

The program will cover the following topics:

  • Who are the procurement fraud stakeholders throughout the government
  • New issues with the False Claims Act and related investigations
  • How to successfully defend procurement fraud investigations

Following the training there will be a networking reception. More information on times and topics can be found here.
