The project addresses COVID-19 response and recovery by facilitating medical device standardization and good regulatory practice. With $3 million in USAID funding and nearly $4 million in private sector contributions, the program will operate through 2023 and focus on Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

“Crowell & Moring International has provided invaluable counsel to the medical device industry during the process of launching phase two of this partnership,” said Steven Bipes, Vice President of Global Strategy and Analysis at AdvaMed. “We are grateful to the firm for its strategic advice and underscoring the importance of regulatory convergence amidst the pandemic.”

“Crowell & Moring International has been at the forefront of COVID-19 response efforts led by industries and governments and we’re ready to leverage this expertise in driving access to vital medical technologies.
