Crowell & Moring Gains Experienced Commercial Litigation Partner Jack Thomas
Washington, D.C. - September 2, 2009: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce the addition of partner Jack Thomas to the firm's Commercial Litigation and Insurance/Reinsurance groups. Based in the New York office, Thomas is a complex commercial litigator with extensive experience in trial and appellate work, international commercial disputes, insurance and financial institution litigation, and class actions. Formerly of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, Thomas has significant experience handling disputes with parallel proceedings abroad and has represented a broad spectrum of multi-national clients, including London market insurers in regard to errors and omissions (E&O) coverage matters, financial institutions, and others.

Thomas has handled various types of arbitrations, both international and domestic, including those relating to acquisition agreements and accounting disputes. He has represented numerous clients in a variety of matters seeking provisional remedies, including the seizure of property and injunctions. Thomas has also represented clients in shareholder disputes, disputes arising out of financial transactions, and in energy-related matters, including those relating to offshore drilling facilities and the acquisition of power generators.

Thomas received his B.A. from Miami University and his J.D., cum laude, from the Quinnipiac University School of Law, following which he served as a law clerk to Senior Judge Warren W. Eginton of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
