Crowell & Moring Corporate Group Expands With Addition of Mitchell Rabinowitz
Washington, D.C. – June 7, 2005: Crowell & Moring LLP announces the addition of partner Mitchell L. Rabinowitz to the firm's Corporate Group. The addition will be the tenth new lateral hire within the last three years for the group, which consists of 24 attorneys in Washington, DC, California, Brussels, and London. The group is currently counsel to the Nortel Networks Corp. in its widely reported tender offer and acquisition of IT contractor PEC Solutions Inc for $448 million and to Aetna Inc. in its recently reported $400 million acquisition of Active Health Management, Inc.

Rabinowitz's experience complements the group's corporate and commercial practice, which is transaction oriented, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, securities, and complex commercial contracts. Rabinowitz has provided counsel to a wide variety of business sectors, with a special emphasis on the financial services industry and electronic trading platforms. Over the years, clients such as Citigroup, BrokerTec/ICAP, Deutsche Bank , Wells Fargo Bank, JP Morgan and Prudential Securities have turned to him for assistance with complex mergers and acquisitions and other transactional advice.
