New York-based Antitrust Group counsel Olivier N. Antoine talks to Financial Times/dealReporter North America about the regulatory clearance required for LAM Research’s acquisition of Novellus, which will depend on how quickly China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) reviews the transaction.
According to Antoine, "China these days takes four to six months to review transactions. MOFCOM is a little more unpredictable than other regulatory agencies…The key question for the U.S. review will be whether the DoJ clears the transaction without a second request.”
