Crowell & Moring continues California recruitment drive

Crowell & Moring has appointed IP litigator Gabriel Ramsey as a partner in the firm’s litigation, privacy and cyber security practice groups in San Francisco.

Ramsey has experience in handling complex technology litigation, with a particular focus on IP and cyber security. He joins from Orrick, where he previously served as a co-leader of its cyber security and data privacy group.

He previously represented Microsoft in defending its trade secrets as well as other companies handling high-tech and entertainment-related matters involving copyright, trademark, trade secret and patent law.

“Gabriel is well known among technology companies for litigating matters of great consequence across a range of IP and licensing issues,” said Philip Inglima, chair of the firm’s executive committee.

Ramsey is among several California litigators who have joined Crowell & Moring in recent months.

Last month, IP and commercial litigation partners Arthur Beeman and Joel Muchmore arrived from Arent Fox.

In June, Kent Goss and Valerie Goo, also both IP and commercial litigation partners, arrived from Orrick.
