"Big Deals" column for the firm's work on Reed Elsevier’s agreement to buy ChoicePoint Inc. for $4.1 billion. Led by Crowell & Moring partner and vice-chair of the firm’s Antitrust Group, Robert A. Lipstein, along with counsel Michael Van Arsdall, the firm represented Reed Elsevier on antitrust matters surrounding the deal. Pending approval from shareholders and regulators, the deal is expected to be finalized in the summer of 2008.
