Uniform Status for Workers and Reasons for Termination – First Lessons from Case Law

December 1, 2016 • Brussels, Belgium

Starts: 12:00 PM (CET)
Ends: 2:30 PM (CET)
Site: Crowell & Moring LLP
Address: 7, Rue Joseph Stevens, Brussels, Belgium

As we approach the third anniversary of the Belgian Uniform Status for Workers Act, we would like to offer you an update on case law developments related to this important milestone in Belgian labor law. We will concentrate in particular on the rules governing the reasons for termination, and on the principle of manifestly unreasonable termination. Our presentation and the subsequent discussion will serve to inform you about recent developments, and we will draw conclusions from the lessons learned from recent (unpublished) case law to provide you with practical advice for the future.

The seminar will also give you an opportunity to exchange best practices in this area and network with like-minded professionals. To accommodate all our guests, our presentation will be in Dutch and French, and materials will be supplied in English.
