Time's Up for Medicine: #MeToo Targets the Health Care Industry

June 13, 2019 • Webinar

Starts: 12:00 PM (EDT)
Ends: 1:00 PM (EDT)

Time’s Up – the non-profit seeking to eradicate sexual harassment and foster fairness and inclusivity in workplaces across the nation – took aim at the health care industry on March 1, 2019. With women comprising 65 percent of health care workers, and nearly 50 percent of female medical students reporting being sexually harassed during medical school, the health care industry is rife with potential claimants and risk.

Employers in this intensely regulated industry are now struggling to navigate a patchwork of state laws intended to enhance the transparency of what have long been regarded as the most sensitive and inflammatory of workplace allegations. With reports of sexual harassment on the rise, employers in the industry now find themselves responding to pointed questions from their boards about the steps that should be taken to stave off shareholder concerns and possible media storms.

Please join us for a webinar that will explore best practices and risk mitigation strategies in this area, including:
  • Why Target Healthcare?
  • Sexual Harassment Claims Continue Unabated
  • Calls For Transparency Are Driving Change
  • Cultivating Confidence In Reporting Channels and Outcomes
  • Anticipating the Next Frontier of Claims and Risks
  • Time’s Up Growing Focus on Pay Equity
  • Proactive Measures To Ensure Pay Equity
