Pride Month: The Importance of Allyship

June 25, 2021 • Webinar

Starts: 3:00 PM (GMT)
Ends: 4:00 PM (GMT)

Please join us for an interactive panel discussion moderated by Simon Rodgers (One Young World, World Humanitarian Forum, and formerly Aviva) to celebrate Pride Month. Panelists include Leng Montgomery (TEDx Speaker, and formerly ASOS, BDO UK LLP, Cushman & Wakefield, Sainsbury’s, Stonewall), Carrie Reiners (Albert Kennedy Trust) Tash Thomas (EW Group, European Coworking Assembly) and Mark Forster (Crowell & Moring).

The panel will be discussing the importance of Allyship, both in and out of the workplace. Allyship is the concept of using one's own position of power, influence, or privilege to elevate and advocate for under-represented people. The support of allies has and continues to be crucial in advancing the LGBT+ movement, and in 2021 we must ask ourselves “How can I be an ally and what more can I do?”

The webinar will be a panel based discussion followed by a Q&A session.

  • Leng Montgomery, D&I Specialist, TEDx
  • Carrie Reiners, Deputy CEO, Albert Kennedy Trust
