WIIT - Immigration's Role in International Trade Luncheon
November 18, 2009
This is The Association of Women in International Trade event.
Several years ago, countries were racing to attract "the best and the brightest" talent from around the globe. With the economic downturn, doors are slamming shut as politicians race to "protect" jobs for citizens. This session will explore the importance of the ability to hire and transfer employees internationally to companies' global business strategies as well as the efforts in the US congress, other countries and the World Trade Organization to balance these competing interests.
This luncheon features Lynn Shotwell, Executive Director of the American Council on International Personnel.
Crowell & Moring is the host.
