ICPHSO's 2014 Annual Meeting and Training Symposium
February 25-28, 2014
ICPHSO's 2014 Annual Meeting and Training Symposium will take place in Orlando, Florida February 25-28, 2014. The Board and Planning Committee have been working hard to deliver a compelling program on the heels of a dynamite 20th Anniversary program in 2013. A first-rate group of experts from government, consumer groups, business and academia will be present to share insights and learn from one another.
ICPHSO’s annual Symposium is recognized as the
premier event for consumer product safety professionals worldwide. Whether it’s the current and breaking information on trends, regulations, and issues in the field of consumer product safety, or the robust networking opportunities among regulators, retailers, manufacturers, consumers, standards and testing organizations, researchers, attorneys, and consultants, ICPHSO offers a great value for all who engage.
Cheryl Falvey will be speaking on a panel entitled “ABA Day: Important Legal Developments for CSPC Practitioners
.” This panel will discuss important legal developments during the past 12 months affecting companies regulated by CPSC, including CPSC enforcement actions and implementation of the CPSIA. Jonathan “Josh” Kallmer will be moderating a panel on “Regional/Trade: The Trade Overlay – Product Safety and Compliance Implications from TransAtlantic Negotiations
.” High-level, formal regulatory collaboration across the Atlantic has been underway for more than a decade. The importance of such collaboration was reinforced in the July 2013 launch of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership negotiations, where regulatory alignment is viewed as pivotal to the success of the trade negotiations. Differences in standards, technical regulations and conformity platforms are front and center. Opportunities and challenges in driving alignment will be explored.
