The Seventh Annual Food & Supplements CLE workshop will bring together experienced practitioners, industry experts and in-house lawyers to discuss the most recent regulatory and litigation developments in the food and supplements area.

Crowell & Moring attorneys will be speaking on the following panels:

FDA Inspection and Enforcement Trends: 10:30 - 11:45 am
In a post-FSMA world, what should industry and their counsel do to prepare for FDA inspections, what is the FDA focusing on with respect to enforcement, how will the Trump Administration affect FDA’s inspection and enforcement programs, and what is the implication of genome tracking and sequencing on FDA enforcement efforts?

Panelist: John Fuson, Crowell & Moring, Washington, D.C.

Ethical Issues that Arise in Parallel Criminal and Civil Proceedings: 4:00 - 4:30 pm
It seems that with every big food-borne illness outbreak, there are now parallel civil and criminal proceedings. This panel will discuss the issues that commonly arise, such as who your client is, Upjohn warnings, when to hire separate counsel to represent separate employees, what do you do when you see that your client is going to turn against the company, the Park doctrine, collecting documents for civil litigation, and DOJ subpoena-related issues and obligations.

Panelists: Laura Cordova, Crowell & Moring, Washington D.C.
