Antitrust Suit Filed Against Monsanto for Monopoly in Herbicides Market

On Wednesday, February 21, 2007, the American Corn Growers Association, representing corn growers in 35 states, brought an antitrust suit against Monsanto Co. in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, alleging that Monsanto has created a monopoly in the glyphosate herbicides market. The suit does not seek monetary damages but rather requests injunctive relief.
