Diversity Council

Comprised of a partner-led steering committee, along with counsel, associates, and staff members, Crowell & Moring's Diversity Council develops and leads the firm's various diversity and inclusion initiatives. The Council's mission is to help build and retain a diverse community of legal professionals, which reflects and fosters the firm's commitment to client service through teamwork, innovation, and inclusion.

By collaborating with firm leadership and a variety of administrative departments, the Council has woven this mission into the fabric of the firm, including recruitment, professional development, and firm life. Initiatives center on inclusion-based action and dialogue, leadership, development, and cultural awareness. All of these work to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment where all individuals feel respected and valued; everyone has appropriate opportunities to excel and be promoted; and we recruit, retain, and develop a diverse group of attorneys and staff.
