Ryan C. Tisch is a partner in the firm's Antitrust Group. His practice focuses on antitrust business counseling, merger control, and government investigations of both horizontal and vertical antitrust conduct. Ryan's recent experience includes:
- Representing several clients, including Reed Elsevier Group Plc and AT&T, undertaking major mergers and acquisitions.
- Representing a major manufacturing client during a multi-year price-fixing investigation by US and European officials.
- Representing numerous clients in relation to investigations by state antitrust authorities for both horizontal and vertical conduct issues.
- Conducting antitrust compliance auditing and training for clients in the US and Europe, including extensive advice on risk mitigation with respect to trade association activities, data exchanges, and bid procurement, as well as advice on vertical issues, including resale price maintenance, price discrimination, and distribution issues.
- Counseling a variety of clients on antitrust compliance related to the structuring of complex distribution systems.
Ryan is also active in pro bono matters, with an emphasis on immigration and asylum issues. Since 2002, Ryan has served as a Co-Chair of the Generous Associates Campaign for the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, which in 2007 raised more than $700,000 for the Society's work as the provider of counsel of last resort for Washington's most vulnerable individuals.
Ryan graduated from Yale College in 1998 with a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. He earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School in 2001. He is a member of the Illinois Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
