Kathleen M. Stratton concentrates her practice in the health care field, primarily in the areas of reimbursement and health care regulation. Ms. Stratton has extensive experience representing clients in matters related to reimbursement, including fraud and abuse, Medicare compliance and certification generally, and a variety of other third-party billing and reimbursement matters. She has also been involved in a significant number of administrative proceedings involving certificates of need, hospital licensure and Medicare appeals. Over the last several years, Ms. Stratton has represented general and specialty hospitals, academic medical centers, home health/home infusion agencies, durable medical equipment suppliers, ambulatory surgery centers, magnetic resonance imaging centers, radiation therapy centers and physician groups. Ms. Stratton is a 1984 graduate of Indiana University at Bloomington School of Law where she was a member of the Law Journal. She received her undergraduate degree in 1981 from Hope College. Ms. Stratton is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Health Law Sections of the American Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar Association. She has published articles and/or lectured on compliance programs, legal audits, physician self-referral legislation and other fraud and abuse-related topics.
