Bryan O'Leary is a policy advisor at Crowell & Moring's Public Policy Practice Group. He represents a wide range of clients with a focus on the defense sector.
Mr. O'Leary has served as the National Security Advisor to Senator Tom Coburn, the ranking member of the Federal Financial Management Subcommittee of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. Prior to that he served as the military and foreign affairs advisor to Senator Conrad Burns, a senior member of the Defense Appropriations committee and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Committee.
Mr. O'Leary served in the Marine Corps as an F-18 Hornet pilot. He is an air combat tactics instructor with over 1,700 tactical jet flight hours. He has operational experience with a number of fighter squadrons and on the ground as the forward air controller of the 1st Tank Battalion. He planned exercises and operations throughout Asia as the Future Operations Officer of a Marine Air Group.
Mr. O'Leary is a Senior Fellow with the National Defense Committee. He is a respected voice on military and overseas absentee voting and issues regarding the defense procurement and acquisition of weapon systems.
