Representative transactions include, among other things: shopping centers and retail development projects; mixed use urban redevelopment; the development, management, acquisition and disposition of various property classes, such as theme parks, hotels and resorts, office, industrial, warehouse/parking, multi-family and retail and related construction, architects' and design/build agreements; commercial leasing, facility operating and management agreements, including ground leases, space leases, net leases and other tax advantaged leases asset-based lending, structured finance and debt and equity financing; joint ventures and strategic partnerships; and the acquisition, disposition and financing of distressed loan portfolios (both REO and non-REO assets, as well as single asset loans on trophy properties), as well as loan workouts, bankruptcy sales and debtor-in-possession financing.
Among the development projects Crowell & Moring has handled, are a broad range of public/private partnership projects and other arrangements between private owners/operators and public authorities, such as: the development and operational aspects of various large-scale projects involving municipal parking, infrastructure and public authorities buildings; development and operation for various governmental agencies of portions of fairgrounds, office buildings and other attractions (including reciprocal parking agreements and revenue sharing); ground leases with various governmental authorities for the operation of various sports and entertainment attractions; development and credit enhancement of urban mixed use facilities with various Economic Development and Empowerment Zone Agencies; etc.
