Union Organizing Campaigns
Crowell & Moring LLP's Labor area has handled more than 50 organizing campaigns in recent years, involving employers in many industries in various parts of the country. Our recent experience in organizing campaigns includes:
- We helped a leading computer services company win a representation election over the Teamsters, by a 2-1 margin, at a large call center operation in suburban Chicago with more than 700 employees
- We represented a premier Colorado resort in an organizing campaign initiated by the UAW, which withdrew prior to filing a petition
- We have handled successfully several organizing campaigns at terminals of a large transportation company, in various locations around the country, in matters involving the Teamsters and the ATU
- We helped a major data processing company defeat the Teamsters in an election case involving a multi-location unit in Iowa
- We have several successful representations of leading non-union coal producers, in organizing campaigns brought by the Mine Workers Union in Kentucky
- We have represented a major natural resources company in several successful decertification elections, involving work groups formerly represented by OCAW in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas
